When Do People Register for Webinars?

The great folks at ON24, a Webcasting, Virtual Event and Webinar solutions provider, have provided some great insight into any companies that are doing webinars. We love webinars here at the Marketing Technology Blog and we team up with our partners to promote and execute them.

Here are 4 Tips for Improving Your Webinars

  • Webcast attendees procrastinate. 64% register the week of a live webinar. And webcast producers should always do a “day of event” promotion blast to get last-minute registrants, as 21% register on the day of the webinar.
  • TGIF! Send promotional emails on Tuesdays, since people register on Tuesdays more than any other day — and more than twice as many as on Fridays.
  • Think bi-coastal. Most ON24 webinars start at 11 a.m. Pacific Time, when it is convenient for both coasts, thereby increasing registration and attendance.
  • Anytime viewing. On-demand viewership is growing. ON24 benchmark data show that an average of 25% of those who registered for a webinar prior to the live date viewed the archived version of the event.
