Fav.or.it – An Evolution in Syndicated Content Management

I enjoy Google Reader, but one of the limitations is its lack of social interaction as well as it’s ability to find similar content. In other words, whenever I want to discuss a post (which is about every 3rd article I read), I have to click the post title to open a new window, then scroll to comment. Nick Halstead saw the problem and built the solution with fav.or.it.

An Overview of Fav.or.it, in their own words

fav.or.it is our answer to the current separation of feed reading and commenting. We have built a web interface that lets you read all your favorite content and at the same time take part in an interactive community.

fav.or.it is also a blogging platform letting you write your own blog posts and publish them out onto the internet. On top of this you can republish any content within fav.or.it to build up new and exciting mashups. Click for full details.

An additional congratulations to Nick, who announced today that they’ve received some Angel funding! Nick has been a long time supporter of my blog and I’m ever appreciative. I can’t wait to get my hands on fav.or.it!
