My Mom is the Greatest

My Mom (Carol Karr) is the greatest Mom in the world. I joke with her a lot but she means the world to me. She is truly a selfless person, putting all of her energy, her love, her concern, and her passion into everything she does. This month, she means the world to her peers as well!

Mom is the City of Sarasota Employee of the Month for October, 2005! Here’s the write-up:

Carol Karr, Personnel Payroll Specialist, came to the Van Wezel after five years at the Asolo Theater. She quickly transferred her talents to the tasks at hand. She worked with the Box Office to streamline the accounting portions of the mail order processing. Carol took the dream of a Van Wezel gift shop from a concept to a reality with an assortment of purple items to dazzle the eye. She created, negotiated, and recruited volunteers to work the stand. Sales are close to $10,000.00 a year. Carol works on the United Way Campaign, raising funds for our community. Furthermore, she helps raise special event funds through the pizza sales.

If you don’t find my Mom at work, you’ll find her helping out my Grandfather down the block, as well as spoiling my Dad. I don’t know where she gets the energy – but she’s unstoppable!
