Thanks for all the support!

1. Q1: That's probably got to do with your htaccess file as well, Lorraine.
2. Looks like this could be easier than we think! Here's a post on <a href="http://www.filination.com/tech/2007/03/27/wordpress-seo-change-to-a-new-permalink-structure-while-maintaining-the-old-one/" rel="nofollow">converting to permalinks in WordPress</a> along with a Plugin to help!

Content over form every day.. and your content was solid..

Quick question, when i change the permalinks, wordpress can't find any of my old blog posts? does it take wordpress awhile to find them? or do i need to just suck it up and change the htaccessfile.

And now to be a complete novice.. where is my htaccess file?

No worries, I didn't notice any nervousness either. And the classroom sessions were great. Thanks for all the tips!

I thought you did well in the presentation as well as the classroom sessions. I did not notice any nervousness. I agree with the comments about the wi-fi.

Thanks bnpositive! That's good to hear!

Re: Wi-fi, I should have done something to ensure that was setup ahead of time. When I was there for the Bill McKibben event, I noticed the tight security. I was able to make it through okay using my son's credentials since he's a full time student.

We'll make sure we get a custom guest account at the next event! Looking forward to having you more involved as well - you've got a great blog and following here!

I thought your presentation was good today. The nerves didn't come across noticeably to me in the audience. The venue was great, the hiccup with easily accessing a free wi-fi connection seemed out of place. Understand security, but I'd think the "School of Informatics" would understand how to open AND protect their network to on-campus guests a little easier.
