Technorati does not count for not follow links, this is the main reason the blogs not getting enough upward movement in ranking.

I wouldn't say I have the best ranking in the world, but my authority just dropped from 40 to 37 overnight. Literally. In fact it happened as soon as I pinged them with my new post. Perhaps they didn't like it? ;-)

You're right! I've not pushed my plugin into their versioning system yet and I need to! I was honestly waiting until I had a couple new features... I'll get there!

Slightly off-topic, but I've noticed that WordPress does not show that there is a new version of your plug-in available (I'm on 2.03 and there is no notice that I could update to a newer one.)

Spider-pig... spider-pig... does whatever a spider-pig can...

Noah, I think you're absolutely right. It's the large media companies that are wreaking havoc with the top Technorati ranks because they carry so much weight coming in the door. I truly believe it's a disservice to Technorati when they simply reuse content in a blog format to get placement.

Putting feathers on a pig may not make it a chicken, but inverting a pig and holding it to the ceiling does make it a spider-pig.

What I mean is... Perhaps the air is more turbulent the higher you go (ranking-wise).
